The American Flag

In One April in Boston, young Ben Edwards notices something unusual when he peers into the night sky through his spyglass. The stars appear to move, forming a circle of 13 stars in the night sky above Boston. "Why would there be 13?" he wonders. Later, through that same spyglass, Ben glimpses the image of a flag with 13 stars in a blue field, surrounded by 13 alternating red and white stripes. He becomes convinced that it is a future symbol for the new nation, 13 stars and stripes for the 13 United States.
